Semi-Finished Bakery Products Plant

Semi-finished Bakery Products Factory of PJSC Concern Khlibprom is a unique bread-baking plant of European standard in Ukraine in view of equipment, having three fully-automatic high-technology lines by world’s leading producers. Launch of fully-automatic plant being unique in Ukraine took place in 2010. Investments in the project’s first stage constituted €10 mln.

The Enterprise specializes in the manufacture of semi-finished bakery products and products of high degree of fabrication. The production process fully eliminates the influence of human factor on quality of products, while the functions of employees are reduced to launch of the lines and control over the screen indications. Modern equipment is characterized by the greatest possible capacities of range of goods. Average daily capacity of production unit makes up 16tons or 360 thousand loaves a day.

Semi-Finished Bakery Products Plant

The Enterprise’ developed range numbers 42 names of goods being sold in retail chain under Namynayko and Khlibna Khata trademarks.

Yeast-leavened bakery semi-finished products are represented by 25 varieties with natural sweet and piquant fillings to any taste. European premium products, i.e. baguettes, ciabattas, croissants, etc., enjoys special popularity, particularly with the HoReCa segment and chain of supermarkets.

Semi-Finished Bakery Products Plant (SFBPP) is one of few enterprises in the country which while implementing European sorts of bread is being consulted by the technologists from Belgium, France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, etc. And technologists of SFBPP in their turn underwent training in France where they adopted the latest world practices and techniques of bread-baking.

Semi-Finished Bakery Products Plant

Plant’s staff was formed on the principle of the «best of the best» selection at all Concern’s units in five regions of Ukraine; all bread-baking specialist received higher specialized education.

In July 2010, PJSC Concern Khlibprom introduced and certified the Food Safety Management System at plant complying with HACCR principles and requirements of ISO 22000:2005 international standards. Quality and Food Safety Management System is to prevent negative factors in the production process and ensures the control over the product safety at any stage of production chain — from supply of raw and consumable materials to shipment of the finished products to the customer. As of today, Food Safety Management System under HACCR principles is one of the cutting edge and most accredited international systems of food safety ensuring and control. It has been introduced as obligatory in most EU countries, in particular in Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

Lviv Bakery No. 1

Lviv Bakery No. 1 is famous for its centenary tradition of bread baking. As far back as 1908, Mercury firm used to operate in a place of a present enterprise; in 1939 it was nationalized and given a new name of Lviv Bakery No. 1. At that time ‘No. 1’ due to its favourable location close to a railway station and delicious homelike bread reached the record-breaking capacity of 220 tons a day.

In 1996, the first reconstruction of a plant was undertaken. And a large-scale modernization was first carried out in 2000. Within its limits, 11 lines were renewed, working conditions were made easier and production capacity was doubled. Year 2003 also left a mark in plant’s history; just then the boiler house was built and new mixed rye-wheat bread production line was assembled. In 2007, the long loaf mass production was launched at the Bakery No. 1. In early modern, powerful line of Gostol-Gopan () was installed; it has increased the capacity of long loaf production by 30%. At present, a range of Lviv Bakery No. 1 includes two types of long loaves – ‘Nariznyi’ and ‘Smachnyi’.

Lviv bakery No.1

Starting from March 1, 2010, the operation of a bakery workshop was resumed following one year and a half pause. A great number of traditional pastries are produced here (buns with poppy seeds and raisins, curd tarts, cheese croissants, etc.), as well as elite kinds of bread (with honey and prunes, bran bread, ‘Sviatkovyi’).

At present, Lviv Bakery No. 1 Production Unit of Concern Khlibprom PJSC employs 400 people. Its daily capacity makes up 115 tons of bread products. The range of production unit consists of 19 names of bread goods and 11 kinds of bread, as well as unique ‘live’ dry bread kvass and dried breadcrumbs. Rye breads – ‘Karpatskyi’ and ‘Hetmanskyi’ by tradition enjoy the popularity among the consumers.

All bread goods produced at Lviv Bakery No. 1 meet ISÎ-9001 requirements.

All of this, as well as kind hearts and hard-working people make a taste of bread produced at Lviv Bakery No. 1 homelike, unique and familiar to its consumers over the entire century.



Lviv bakery No.5

Lviv bakery No.5 Construction of the Lviv bakery was launched in 1977 and as soon as 6 November 1980 the fist loaf of bread came off the production line of the newly-build plant.

At present the bakery is the largest bread manufacturer in Lviv oblast. It supplies over 30% of Lviv city population with bread, as well as satisfies 20% of the oblast demand. The daily capacity for the manufactured range of goods constitutes 106.9 tons of bread products.

Products of Lviv bakery No.5 encompass over 40 items of classical and speciality kinds of bread and over 30 variations of pastries, baked to original Galician recipes and traditions. All products are made from natural ingredients and do not contain any synthetic additives and preservatives. The supreme quality of the products is guaranteed by the bakery team, who has mastered progressive technologies on the modern equipment and total quality assurance systems, which is applied at all stages of production.

Lviv bakery No.5

Experts of Lviv bakery No.5 treasure their expertise of baking bread, revive forgotten recipes, and create new masterpieces, which are recognised by awards of independent experts and prizes in various competitions. «Vulky», «Zernyatko», «Nizhnyy» varieties of bread were recognised as the best at republican tasting contests and the long loaf «Sykhiv" was rated among the «100 Best Ukrainian Goods» in 2005.

The bakery has made it a good practice to treat eminent guests visiting the city to its products. Heads of state from Central Europe during the Summit held in Lviv in May 1999 savoured our bread. In June 2001 the Pope John Paul II was greeted with the traditional festive bread loaf of our make during his visit to Lviv in June 2001. The bakery has long enjoyed it right to supply traditional festive bread loafs for greeting highest officials from Ukraine and all over the world.

The greatest asset of the bakery is its highly professional team, which has been developing over a quarter of a century. Today the people involved in making the very first loaf are still with the bakery. In 2008 640 people, who constitute one friendly family, have been working at the bakery. The produce spreads the fame of Lviv bakery No.5 far beyond the boundaries of its city owing to the professionalism and dedication of its staff.

Confectionery shop (Lviv)

Confectionery shopStarting from 1959, bread-baking plant No.2, being a part of the union of food industry companies — «Lviv Bakery», functioned at the address, where the Confectionery shop is located now. In 1986, construction of the new confectionery shop commenced in this territory. Confectionery shop started its operation in 1991 and produced 100 items of confectionery products per year.

During 2002—2007, the shop operated as a part of «EkoLan» Corporation. The best confectioners of the region were engaged in the company; moreover, they are still working here. The win in Ukrainian Contest of Confectioners became an approval to the high level of the team excellence. It is the confectioners of this shop who are entrusted to bake cakes for the city holidays. The cake in the form of the High Castle baked for 745th anniversary of Lviv and 900kg cake for its 750th anniversary are among the most original ones.

February 01, 2010, the confectionery unit of Concern Khibprom was given its present name — the Confectionery shop.

Today, the Confectionery shop is the largest manufacturer of cakes in Lviv region and holds over 30% of the flour sweets market. The shop produced 1800 tons of products in 2009.

The wide range of cakes, which includes 71 positions, is one of the most convincing advantages of the powerful manufacturer. The present-day confectionery is well-known for its exclusive cakes that are baked specially for corporate events, birthdays, weddings, children holidays, etc. There are rolled cakes, muffins, puffs, spice cakes, cookies, pies, crackers, and biscuits in the range of the company products — over 200 items in total.

The quality of all raw materials, from which confectionery products are baked, and compliance of the final products with regulatory documents are monitored by the qualified measuring productive and technological laboratory that is functioning within the Confectionery shop.

Production unit is proud of its friendly and highly skilled staff, of confectioners of the 6th category in particular, who are baking exclusive cakes and work over their highly artistic decoration. As of today, the staff numbers 300 persons.

The wide range of sweet products of the Confectionery shop is represented in the city supermarket networks, «Tobi» stores and Confectionery Cafe at the address.



Sambir bakery

Sambir bakery was constructed and launched into exploitation on February 7, 1967. It was one of the first standard plants in the country with a 65-ton capacity and total area of 1.6 ha. Two bake house ovens for speciality bread, 3 hearth ovens and 1 oven for buns (of which three are complex-mechanical and the rest are of semiautomatic types) have been installed in the bakery.

Starting from 1970 the bakery has in addition mastered confectionery production with the daily output of 500 kg. In 1984 a line for producing the new product – straws – was assembled.

The bakery team constitutes 180 employees, whose professionalism and expertise is widely recognised in the region.

At present the bakery produces up to 125 items of goods.

The capacity of the bakery is 12 tons of bread, 1.4 tons of buns and pasties and 0.2 tons of confectionery goods.

The bakery has its in-house retail chain of 16 stores.



Yavirmlyn

Milling complex «Yavirmlyn» is one of the largest mills in the Lviv region. Its capacity is 100 tons per day. In the mill there is one of the largest in the city modern electronic weight with lifting capacity of 60 tons and 15 meters long platform.

The mill is vey well known across the country by its technologies that allow production of flour with the highest level of whiteness and content of gluten. The mill has a unique capability to manufacture a wide assortment of flour.

Yavirmlyn

A history of the mill began in 2002 when it was built with regard to the best European technology. To the existing technological solutions were added some new, such as: improved techniques of grain cleaning, the introduction of aerosol transport and individually designed system of air recycling. The last innovation has been introduced in Ukraine for the first time.

Among the other achievements of the mill is acquisition of ISO certification in 2007.
