Kalush Bakery

Kalush bakery was set up in 1962 - at the time when the seat of chemical industry was undergoing rapid development - construction of plants and production plants of Kalush chemical and metallurgical plant. In 1979-1991 the bakery had an output of 55-60 tons of bread per day, and it was the only bakery in town providing bread for the population of Kalush town and region. In 1998-1999 due to the increase of prices on energy resources, the bakery was making losses and was closed.

Kalush bakery resumed its operation in 2005 owing to the partner support of «Concern Khlibprom». Reconstruction and technical re-equipment of all bakery units were undertaken - a powerful oven was launched, technological processes were automated and two new production lines were put into operation (heath bread and buns line).

As of October 2005 bakery daily capacity constituted 5.5 tons. The number of its employees has risen to 100 people. Among them are experts who worked in the bakery before the closure and came back to work at the renewed enterprise.

Only in the period from July to October 2005 the bakery has launched 12 varieties of high quality bread products. Only natural and ecologically clean produce is used for making bread.

Subsidiary Kalush Bakery sells it products through its own two in-house shops, small retail trade and travelling points of sale.
